Since it's not in the Whine Cellar or Hole, you know I'm boring at the moment....

Phone

Tooled up my phone with a 2Gb MicroSD card. Under £13.00, courtesy of Orange. You can get them over teh Internet for less, but this was close enough pricewise not to complain.

Work

After solving the problem with Wiki, I made sure that it wasn't going to be so difficult to find again, by replacing 3 modules with my own commented one. As I'm slowly becoming admin on most of the support tools, I hope my next request for a pay increase won't go unheeded..

After sasquatchan asked about repositories, I got asked about the feasibility of integrating all our various project repositories. I've proposed using Trac (which has Subversion as a Version control, but with added wiki and ticket tracking), so if anyone knows it doesn't work, scale or anything else bad about it, now would be a good time to tell me.

As for monitors, I'd just like to let you know that I pwN youz a11 at the moment....

But it's not an elegant solution.

Anonimouse productions uses highly paid professional stand-ins for stunt work such as this.

You watch sitcoms at work? by nightflameblue (2.00 / 0) #10 Wed Mar 12, 2008 at 11:51:09 AM EST
Clearly, we need more monitors here.

At $ISP by anonimouse (2.00 / 0) #11 Wed Mar 12, 2008 at 01:27:06 PM EST
We have to check all the TV channels that we output, so we normally have at least one channel on a larger screen. Late night operatives check the quality of the porn channels....

We could work that. by nightflameblue (2.00 / 0) #12 Wed Mar 12, 2008 at 02:03:40 PM EST
We've got large screen TVs in the crapateria. There was talk at one time of getting "monitoring software" for those TVs so we always knew what was on them. Essentially, trying to justify getting DirecTV on the desktop. Hasn't panned out yet, but never say never.

I love Trac by Ranieri (2.00 / 0) #13 Sat Mar 15, 2008 at 08:30:26 AM EST
Be aware however that it is designed to work off a single SVN tree and that you do not have granular access control. So if you plan to operate multiple projects on an need-to-know basis (e.g. with external people), you will need a trac instace and repository per project.
